About

Martin is an economist with an extensive understanding of the quantitative and qualitative research analysis as well as and public policy analysis. His research interest areas are public policy, labor economics, education economics, and economic methodology.  

Martin has a deep passion for gender analysis and labor market outcomes. He has written and researched on role of education in reducing gender differential in labor market.  

Prior to joining ESSA, Martin worked as an economist consultant at United Nations of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Liberia. Previously, worked with Centre for International Trade and Economics- Kenya based policy think tank based in Nairobi, where he was primarily responsible for evidence-based policy analysis.  

Martin holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics University of Nairobi.
