8th March is International Women's Day!

The theme for IWD 2022 “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, sets the tone for a global conversation on issues facing women in assuming leadership positions in higher education and breaking the bias for a gender equal world.

Women in Leadership in Higher Education: Global and Regional Perspectives

International Association of Universities (IAU), The European Women Rectors Association (EWORA) and Education Sub Saharan Africa (ESSA) are hosting a webinar on female leadership in higher education, focusing on gender sensitive institutional structures and policies. The partners bring together insights from policymakers, educators, female leaders, funders and other stakeholders.

Gender Inequality in Higher Education Institutions in Africa

Join the Women in Higher Education Network (WoHEN), and the Association of African Universities (AAU), in a session which will provide the platform to highlight the gender inequality in higher education institutions in Africa and discuss the best possible ways to curb the biases.

Webinar & Launch of Ladies in Data Science Training Project

The Ghana Society for Education Technology is hosting a webinar alongside a panel of women who are into STEM fields. Discussions will be centred on how to deal with the issues women face in their STEM careers and tackling bias against women.
