ESSA update on COVID-19

At Education sub-Saharan Africa, we express thoughts and well wishes to our donors and partners during this period of uncertainty following the COVID-19 outbreak around the world.

Following the announcements by the UK government and the World Health Organisation, we’ve put in place measures that ensure the health and safety of our employees and other stakeholders.

Our employees will work remotely with flexibility to allow for the care of dependents. We’ve suspended business travel and will not be holding in-person meetings.

We’ve also implemented our business continuity plan, which examines all our programmes to ensure that we carry on with activity remotely wherever possible.

These precautionary measures have been taken to limit the potential spread of the virus, to support our employees in this challenging time and to ensure we maintain our support to those who are at the forefront of education in sub-Saharan Africa.

Our senior leadership team remains vigilant, is monitoring the situation and responding as the situation evolves.
