Grant Proposal Writing Workshops for Early Childhood Development and Foundational Learning Researchers

Grant Proposal Writing Workshops for Early Childhood Development and Foundational Learning Researchers

ESSA and REAL Centre are working on two projects focusing on Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Foundational Learning (FL)

The ECD project is being funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and focuses on understanding the ecosystem of ECD researchers and their needs in Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda (with desk-based research for Mozambique).

Similarly, the FL project focuses on the mapping of researchers, their institutions and the evidence they are producing in Ghana, Kenya, Senegal and Tanzania, and is being funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

As part of these two projects, we identified the professional development needs of ECD and FL researchers. Through surveys, online and in-person workshops, and expert consultations, we discovered that many researchers prioritise improving their grant writing skills.

As such, we are organising two separate in-person workshops focused on enhancing the grant writing skills of Africa-based early childhood development and foundational learning researchers. These workshops will also facilitate networking and potential collaborations among participants.

We are now accepting applications from Africa-based ECD and FL researchers who would like to participate in one of these grant proposal writing workshops:

Please note you can apply for only one workshop. We encourage you to choose the workshop that aligns best with your research interests for an optimal learning experience.
